Customer Review: Lightweight, in every sense

This is a nifty trolley - very light in weight and folds up like a spy gadget to the smallest size you can imagine.
That said, it broke the first time I used it so I am returning it. It's rated at 50 lbs., I put 42 lbs of stuff on it and dragged it down a short hallway in my home; when I got to my destination a few rooms later, one of the two foldout legs that holds your luggage had bent at the fulcrum, which was a grey piece of plastic, already turning white from the strain.
I'd guess if you have about 25 lbs of stuff you need to haul through the airport, this would be fantastic, which is why it gets three stars from me. Great item, docked 2 stars for unrealistic load-bearing rating by Samsonite.

This product works well for rolling luggage through an airport. It's not as handy as a carry-on with its own wheels, but who would think so - it's made to be flexible and small and carry the weights of allowable carry-ons. It won't do everything anyone wcould possibly want in a carrier and it probably wouldn't last long for street use of use on stairs. But, for it's light weight, ability to store in a carry-on, and reasonable sturdiness, it's great and just what I needed.Customer Review: Great Product for Traveling

I read all the reviews on how to fold this up, and was about to give up and ship mine back unfolded. Somehow we figured out that if you squeeze the legs together, the handle will fold down with ease. Wish I knew that before I bruised my fist trying to force the handle down.
I haven't tried it with my luggage yet, but I'm glad I am able to open and shut it now.

I just bought a Samsonite Micro Mover for my sister after she saw me using mine. It is great for medium size and weight items, for example a computer bag. My bag does not have wheels built in, as they add significant weight and bulk to the empty bag. Instead, I use a lightweight computer bag and unfold the Samsonite wheels to carry the bag around airports, around town, etc. Follow the directions from another reviewer on how to fold, as the order of the steps is important.
